Charles is passionate about good design and has a strong track record in the successful delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes. He has designed and taken many buildings through to completion. His experience covers residential extensions and new housing schemes, retail buildings, healthcare (human and animal), hotel, education, offices, transport buildings and others. He has designed schemes from the outset and picked up existing proposals and taken them through to completion.
Charles is a BREEAM Assessor and has carried out BREEAM assessments on M&S, B&Q, Asda and Morrison’s stores as well as providing guidance on the development of new store models for both Asda and Morrison. BREEAM is one of the world’s leading environmental assessment method for new construction and is renowned for its rigorous analytical methodology.
Having undertaken training with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings ‘SPAB’, Charles has worked on numerous listed buildings throughout the UK. This includes award winning schemes such as Marshalls Yard, Gainsborough and the conversion of the Town Hall, Barnsley to provide the ‘Barnsley Experience’ museum.
