Children’s Hospital Hydrotherapy pool

Pool after replacement
New sunken pool with new changing rooms and linked ceiling track. Special sunken area at end of pool to give eye level contact during therapy sessions. Under water lighting and colour changing ceiling lights to create stimulating atmosphere, along with specially created graphics on the walls. Air source heating pumps supplied the warm fresh air and helped heat the water. All this was built within an existing 1960s timber enclosure to save costs and time.
Opening ceremony
Opening ceremony in March 2013 showing the sunken area at the end of the pool. This project was undertaken with WCEC Architects in conjunction with Dransfield properties and Henry Boot Construction using funds raised by the Sheffield Charity Construction Ball and donated to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
