Medical Centre, specially commissioned feature panels between consulting room windows to celebrate the Olympics and emphasise health and fitness.
Pharmacy with swept up roof profile giving height to enhance the historic ventilation shaft from George Stephenson’s railway tunnel below. During the construction of this tunnel, coal was discovered which led to the formation of the ‘Clay Cross’ company which at one time rivalled ICI in scale and led to the construction of the town of Clay Cross in Derbyshire.
